Support
Create, review or respond to a support or feedback record.
Step-by-step guide
Before you start
Use the account and workspace that own the records. This page does not include administrator configuration forms.
Open this feature
Open /portal/support on your application domain. The tasks below name the controls to use after opening the page.
Steps
Use your own account. The support feature must be enabled and an active category must be available.
Create a support ticket
- Open Support and select New request.
- Choose Category and enter a short Subject. In Details, describe what happened, the expected result and the steps to reproduce it. Do not include credentials.
- Select Send request once. Check the conversation opened by the application and keep its reference.
Reply and close the request
- In Support, select the intended request row to open its conversation. Read the existing replies first.
- For an open request, enter your response and select Send reply. Check that it appears in the same conversation.
- When the issue is solved, select Mark resolved. Review the confirmation and select Resolve request. Use Keep open if the issue still needs work.
Fields shown in the interface
| Field or setting | What to enter or choose |
|---|---|
| Category | Required. Choose an active category offered by the application. |
| Subject | Required, up to 255 characters. Describe one issue. |
| Details | Required, up to 5,000 characters. |
| Reply | Required, up to 5,000 characters. An empty formatted paragraph is not a useful reply. |
Check the result
- The new ticket belongs to your account and contains the subject/details you submitted.
- After resolving, the ticket status changes; a resolved or closed ticket does not accept the open-ticket reply action.
Problems and validation
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| No category is available | Ask the site administrator to enable a support category. |
| Reply form is absent or reply is rejected | Check whether the ticket is still open. Do not submit the same reply repeatedly. |
| The ticket is not found | Confirm you are signed in with the account that created it. |
